• SYNC: When Ted is in the bar the music playing as if from the future. Break beats and “acid” sound are from mid 90’s, but everything is happening in mid 70’s.
• FACT: The “executioner” depicted in the movie is a uniformed corrections officer and is visible to the condemned in the death chamber. According to the Florida Corrections Commision Report, “The executioner is a private citizen…” “The executioner is present in the death chamber behind a screen.”
• FAKE: Early on in the movie Ted attacks a woman with a hammer handle. As he grabs her, the handle – which is supposed to be hard wood – bends at the base to reveal that it is rubber.
• FACT: While inmates are usually diapered, neither Florida nor any other state engages in “butt-stuffing” prior to an electrocution. Florida’s electric chair is also not located in an office-like room complete with a printer and a sink.
• FAKE: Ted is having sex with Lee tied up, as he is performing and the camera pulls back, Lee’s underwear is visible.

• ‘Rob Lowe (I)’ (qv), ‘Peter Saarsgard’, and ‘Kiefer Sutherland’ (qv) were each offered the role of Ted Bundy. All of the actors refused due to the nature of the character.
• Photographs of the real Ted Bundy are featured in both the opening and closing credits of the film.
• The names of the victims in the cast of characters are fictional and not the names of the actual victims of Ted Bundy.
• ‘Cameron Bright’ (qv) was offered a role but he and his mother did not want him to be associated with a serial killer.
