Fight Club Storyline

You’re young. You have an easy, well-paid deskjob. You have a condo, Swedish furniture, artistic coffee tables and a fridge full of condiments. Yet you feel emotionally and spiritually empty. You eventually find comfort in going to support groups for lukemia and cancer victims when there’s nothing wrong with you until they’re hijacked from you by another faker. Then you meet Tyler Durden, a man that shows you that not only can you live without material needs but that self-destruction, the collapse of society and making dynamite from soap might not be such a bad idea either.

CHAR: The Narrator says that he lives on the 15th floor of his apartment, but the flaming apartment is on the 16th floor.
CHAR: When The Narrator is in the phone booth talking to Tyler he refers to having the same “suitcase” on the plane. The Narrator and Tyler actually had the same “briefcase”.
MISC: In the scene depicting Tyler cutting out various news clippings about the exploits of Fight Club/Project Mayhem none of the articles relate in any way to the headlines.
BOOM: When the Narrator is being held down on the table at the police station, a boom mic is clearly visible at the top of the screen for a few seconds.
CONT: When the Narrator hangs up after calling Tyler in the phone booth, the phone is put in the wrong position. But when the phone rings, it’s in the right position again.

Fight Club plot

A lonely, isolated thirty-something young professional seeks an escape from his mundane existence with the help of a devious soap salesman. They find their release from the prison of reality through underground fight clubs, where men can be what the world now denies them. Their boxing matches and harmless pranks soon lead to an out-of-control spiral towards oblivion.
